The Day We Ventured To The Sticks

The Friday before Jane’s wedding I joined Jane and her friends on a day trip to gather flowers at a peony farm. I was nodding off when when one of the girls pointed out the window and said, “Look Chatti a kangaroo in the bush!” I wasn’t quick enough and missed it. Only when we were driving to lunch did I see my first kangaroo-sadly kangaroo roadkill. Other than that, it was nice to have some feminine energy in my life. I was taught a lot of Australian slang (like “it’s all the way in the whoop whoop”…did I get that right ladies?!)

After about 10 minutes of trying to put some arrangements together, I told Jane, “You know…my talent would be useful elsewhere.” ( For a lack of a better word, I suck at floral arrangements). So this was what I did instead. : )
